The W.
E. Crumes Ministerial Training Institute, named after the late
Chief Bishop, is a nationally organized effort dedicated to the spiritual,
intellectual and emotional growth and improvement of our church. The Institute
has partnered with Moody Bible Institute of Chicago, Illinois, to provide
a three-year curriculum of study that will be available to pastors, ministers,
evangelists and interested lay people. The Institute will also provide
a vehicle for the advancement and growth of our brotherhood through strategic
evangelistic efforts. This year’s courses include:
THE DOCTRINE OF GRACE
Course Information. The Biblical Doctrine of Grace is an in-depth study of the biblical, historical, theological, and practical dimensions of the doctrine of grace, which constitutes the uniqueness of the Christian faith, is the essence of the gospel, and is the transforming and liberating power of Christian experience and mission.
Course Information: Spiritual Warfare is a class that will provide Biblical tools to combat the enemy in the following areas: demonic influence, demonic possession, the bondage of sexual shackles, family attacks, the influence of music and the attack on the man.
Course Information: Old Testament Survey will afford students with a cursory introduction to the books of the Old Testament providing insights into history, manners and customs, author and purpose of the writings.
Course Information: Introduction to Homiletics will afford students basic instruction in sermon analysis, classification, preparation and delivery of sermons and religious teachings.
ELECTIVES:
Course Information: The Black Presence In The Bible: this class will provide direct insight into the Afro-centric nature of the bible, is geography and its personalities.
Course Description: Urban Evangelism: participants will receive biblical instruction in "street" evangelism along with real life experiences within an urban setting.
Please
note: Various workbooks, CD’s and other educational materials will
be available for sale during institute sessions.
ALL pastors, ministers and evangelists are expected to register for the Institute
and attend the Ministerial Institute sessions as listed on the convention
schedule.
